Components of local Child Care Resource & Referral Programs

  • Consumer Education
    Providing parents with referrals to licensed child care providers, information on child care options and on how to select care that meets their needs. Customized services are available for families with children with disabilities.


  • Child Care Subsidy Management
    Administering the Voucher Child Care Subsidy program funded through the Department of Early Education & Care for families receiving Transitional Aid for Families with Dependent Children (TAFDC), transitioning off of TAFDC, or income-eligible working families.
  •  

  • Professional Development
    Recruiting, training and offering technical assistance to early care and education professionals and potential child care providers through college courses, CEU courses, conferences and workshops.


  • Data Management
    Gathering and analyzing local and statewide data, which helps to shape policy that affects families and communities. Community planners, policy makers, businesses and funders rely on the information gathered by their local CCR&R's to assist in decision making about the future trends of child care.   • Community Services
    Working on the local, state and national levels with early care and education professionals, parents, community groups, government, educational institutions and businesses to increase knowledge of today's child care issues. CCR&R's provide free technical assistance throughout the community.


  • Services for Employers
    Providing customized referral services for employers including; emergency back-up care, enhanced referrals, dependent care and on-site center start-up and parent seminars.
