What A Child Care Resource & Referral Agency Can Do For YOU

The foundation of community-based CCR&Rs is working with families. As increasing numbers of families combine the roles of working and raising children, child care becomes a major focus. Finding, deciding on, and beginning to use child care becomes one of the earliest and least supported challenges for working parents. To effectively assist parents in meeting this challenge, Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies provide families with:

• Referrals to quality child care programs in their community
• Consumer education about quality child care issues, such as Massachusetts licensing standards and guidelines, types of child care, and information about choosing quality child care
• Publications and other resources on selecting and monitoring programs
• Child care subsidies for eligible low and moderate income families
